Bloom Behavioral Healthcare LLC is hiring! We are looking for compassionate, committed Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to add to the team as we expand.
What is an RBT?
RBTs are certified in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). They work one-on-one with individuals with autism or other developmental differences to help teach essential life skills while reducing challenging behaviors and supporting development goals through compassionate, research-backed therapy.
RBTs work under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), working to:
Implement personalized behavior plans
Teach communication, social and daily living skills
Track progress and collect data during sessions
Encourage growth through consistency and compassion
Educate families about behavioral strategies and interventions
Collaborate with other professionals in special education and healthcare settings to enhance client outcomes
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
RBT is a great position for someone who:
Enjoys working with children with autism or developmental differences
Wants to make a direct and lasting impression
Is interested in psychology, education and/or healthcare
Values a role that combines structure, creativity and heart
Has excellent communication skills
Has patience and compassion toward others
What Are The Requirements To Become an RBT?
To qualify for an RBT position, one must:
Be at least 18 years old
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Pass a background check
Have a commitment to confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable
Knowledge of ABA techniques and principles
You also must be willing to complete a 40-hour RBT training and pass the exam to become certified. For Bloom, having a certification is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Those who already have their certification will receive a $150 bonus after their first 90 days of employment with Bloom.
